Ancient Shelters was inspired by Mary Pipher, author of the book titled, The Shelter of Each Other. She describes families as sad and happy, complicated and simple, full of victories and failures. The Buddhists refer to family as ten thousand joys and ten thousand sorrows. While our families may not always be blissful, they are part of us, part of who we are and how we got here. Acceptance of who they are supports our ability to accept ourselves.
