ADDICTIVE SCRIPTS (regular fit)

Addictive Scripts, inspired by “schemas” refers to how we organize our thoughts.  This is commonly referred to as “scripts in our head.”  Depression can be the result of habitual negative thoughts about the world, our future and ourselves.  Our feelings follow what we are thinking and may get caught in a “problem cycle.”  If you are plagued with pessimistic thoughts, consider that these “addictive scripts” can be changed with treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, which focuses on changing distortions that monopolize our thinking, thus preventing us from reaching our full potential.
